Hydraulic Modulator: Installation
- To install modulator, reverse removal procedure. Bleed brake hydraulic system.NOTE: Bleeding an ABS system takes longer than bleeding a conventional brake system.
- Fill brake fluid reservoir to "MAX" fluid level. Connect hoses to both bleed nipples on left front wheel. Submerge hoses in bottle containing some brake fluid. Both hoses must end below brake fluid surface.
- Open bleed nipples. Have helper pump brake pedal 5 times, holding down on last depression stroke. There should be no air bubbles visible by last stroke. Close bleeders.
- Bleed remaining wheels in the following order: front right wheel, rear left wheel and right rear wheel. Check brake fluid level after each open and close cycle of bleeders.
