Fuses, Ground Connections & Connectors

  1. Check ground connections on inlet manifold. Make sure wires are correctly connected and not loose. Poor connections can cause many fault symptoms.
  2. Check fuses for pump relay and tank pump. The pump relay fuse is an in-line fuse in the engine compartment. There are two of them. The tank pump fuse is fuse no. 4 and is in the fuse box.
  3. Check the connectors for the air mass meter, air control valve, knock sensor and coolant temperature sensor. Make sure connectors are correctly connected and not loose.
  4. Make sure that the knock sensor and coolant temperature sensor connectors are not interchanged. The knock sensor wires are green and the coolant temperature sensor wires are yellow.
