Axle Ratio & Identification

Standard (Type 1030) and heavy-duty (Type 1031) rear axles are available. Several different ratios are used. Plate attached to left front side of final drive housing gives axle ratio, part number, and serial number. Divide number of ring gear teeth by number of drive pinion gear teeth to determine axle ratio.
