ISSUE & TIP
A poor connection at the distributor wiring harness connector may cause a no-start or intermittent engine stalling on Volvo 240 models. The pins inside the three wire connector may separate due to engine vibration.
The wires in these connectors run between the distributor pickup and the ignition control unit. The best way to repair this problem is to cut out the damaged connector and replace it with a new one. The wires must be long enough to allow for engine movement and should not be binding on anything.
