Crankcase Ventilation System: Description

Crankcase ventilation system prevents the escape of blow-by gases into the atmosphere. On 740 Turbo and 760 Turbo models, the system consists of PCV filter, calibrated nipple, and connecting hoses.

Turbo diesel models route crankcase gases from top of valve cover through a connecting hose to the air intake duct. The system consists of an oil separator valve mounted on top of valve cover and connecting hoses to the turbo air intake.
