Check Transmission Switch

NOTE: On 1985 MTX automatic gearboxes, check that wire is not grounded.

Connect ohmmeter between ground and terminal 15. With gear lever in 1st or 2nd resistance should be 0 (switch closed). With gear lever in 3rd or 4th gear resistance should be infinite. Switch is grounded via gearbox.
