SERVICE INFORMATION
To ensure the cleanliness of our customer's vehicles during their service visit, Volvo, along with Wurth, is offering a new Interior Seat Protection kit.
The kit consists of a large one-piece seat and center console protector plus a steering wheel cover.
These covers can be reused and washed many times, making them more environmentally sustainable than single use plastic covers. Reduction in plastic disposal and the use of single use plastics is an important part of Volvo's sustainability objectives.
Design and Benefits
- New premium nylon seat covers are designed to protect the driver's area from oil stains and accidental rip and tear damage.
- The driver's seat and center console are covered to limit the places the technicians come in contact with.
- Reusable and washable up to (85) times depending on temperature and detergents used.
- Covers can be wiped down with mild detergents in between use
- Seat belt cut outs allow the cover to be used during test drives
- Liquid and Water Resistant
- Non shrinking
- 1450mm wide x 1600mm long
- Available in two colors (grey and black)
Workshop Best Practices:
- Issue (2) two sets to each technician - Rotate and wash them weekly
- Mild cleaners can be used to wipe down the covers in between uses or daily, as needed.
- Make available (1) one set per service vehicle/day. When placed in the vehicle in the service drive, the customer's vehicle will be protected during the entire visit.
- To ensure the covers are kept clean, retailers can make agreements with their local laundering services to have the seat cover kits added to their existing uniform contracts.
Ordering
To introduce the Interior Seat Protection offer to the market, one of each color seat/console protector and steering wheel cover, will be allocated to each retailer.
The cost of the interior protection kits which will be billed one time to your monthly Parts account.
