Front Axle Differential Lock, Removing: Removing

-- Remove the right drive axle. Refer to DRIVE AXLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the catalytic converter. Refer to CATALYTIC CONVERTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, FWD , or CATALYTIC CONVERTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, AWD .

-- Drain the oil for the front axle differential lock. Refer to FRONT AXLE DIFFERENTIAL LOCK FLUID, DRAINING AND FILLING .

-- Disconnect the connector -arrow-.

-- Disconnect the connector -1-.

-- Remove the pendulum support. Refer to PENDULUM SUPPORT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the fan shroud. Refer to FAN SHROUD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, GOLF, TIGUAN, TAYRON, ARTEON, T-ROC AND PASSAT .

-- Position the Engine Support - Bracket :T10533/2  -A- and install the Engine Support - Bolt :T10533/4  -C- hand-tight.

-- Position the Engine Support :T50015A  -B- at the Engine Support - Bracket :T10533/2  -A- and install the bolt -1- hand-tight.

-- Position the Engine Support :T50015A  -B- and install the bolt -2- hand-tight.

-- Press apart the Engine Support :T50015A  -B-.

-- Make sure the coolant hoses are not pinched.

-- Install the bolts -1-.

-- Position a commercially available tire iron -A- in between the bolts -1-, and counterhold at the flange shaft.

-- Remove the bolt -2- with the Socket And Extended Bit :T10107A  .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Push the front axle differential lock off the transmission and remove it.
