ATF Level, Checking: Filling

-- Install the ATF check plug -arrow- to tightening specification.

-- Turn off the engine.

-- Disconnect the connector -1- from the transmission.

-- Remove the ATF fill plug -arrow- from the transmission -1-.

-- Add ATF SP-IV M1.

-- Attach the connector -1- to the transmission.

-- Start the engine.

-- Raise the vehicle.

-- If the temperature has reached 40±5°C (104±41°F) and ATF is flowing out in a thin, constant stream (it starts to drip), then the procedure is finished.

If no ATF drips out of the check hole:

-- ATF SP-IV M1 must be added. Refer to Filling .

Tip:

This process must be repeated multiple times under certain circumstances!

End the procedure

-- Install the ATF check plug -arrow- with a new seal to the tightening specification.

-- Install the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
