General Information

When designing the 2015 Golf running gear, there were some basic objectives:

• Increase the driving dynamics
• Increase driving comfort
• Reduce weight
• Reduce costs

The running gear weight with the four-link axle has been reduced by up to 24 lb (11 kg) compared to the previous model with a four-link axle. This is because of high-strength materials as well as the use of components with a bionic design (for example, the swivel bearing).
