The radio system consists of the Radio -R- and speakers, refer to SOUND SYSTEM, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

The speaker system depends on the vehicle equipment level. It is controlled either by the amplifier inside the Radio -R- or by the Amplifier -R12-. If the speakers are connected directly to the Amplifier -R12-, then the speaker outputs from the Radio -R- are used as the signal input by the Amplifier -R12-.

NOTE:

Familiarity with the functions and operation of the digital sound system is needed if there are customer concerns.

For additional information, refer to the Owner's Manual and appropriate Wiring Diagram.

Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester for servicing or fault finding.

Anti-Theft code is equipped with protection code number, refer to Anti-Theft Coding .

Deactivate the anti-theft coding if the Radio -R- was replaced, refer to Transport Protection, Deactivating .

The Radio -R- part number is on a label on the housing.

The integrated CD changer has a transportation safeguard. The transportation safeguard must be deactivated when installing a new Radio -R-. If the Radio -R- is going to be shipped, then the transportation safeguard must be activated before removing the Radio -R-. Transport protection, activating/deactivating, refer to Transport Protection, Activating .

Check all vehicle equipment (clock, convenience systems, etc.) after connecting the battery, refer to [For transmission(s) 0A4, 02E, 09G, 02Q] [For engine(s) CVCA, CDVB, CPRA, CBTA, CPKA, CKRA, CBUA] Removal and Installation and/or the Owner's Manual.
