Diagnostic mode 4: Reset/erase diagnostic data

Function
This diagnostic mode performs the following functions:
- all emission relevant malfunctions in DTC memory will be erased,
- the operating conditions at which a malfunction was stored will be reset. Refer to Diagnostic mode 2: Check operating conditions
- all adaptation values will be reset,
- all test results of the diagnostic functions will be reset.
Requirement
- DTC memory was checked. Refer to Diagnostic mode 3: Check DTC Memory
Work procedure
- Connect diagnostic tester. Refer to Diagnostic tester, connecting
- Start engine and let run at idle.
- Under address word 33, select "Diagnostic mode 4: Reset/erase diagnostic data.
Erased or reset:
- Number and content of the DTC memories,
- Operating conditions,
- Adaptation values,
- Test results.
- End diagnosis and switch ignition off.
