Test-ID 01: Catalytic converter monitoring

Test requirements

There must not be any DTCs stored in DTC memory. Refer to Diagnostic mode 3: Check DTC Memory
Coolant temperature must be at least 80 ° C. Refer to Diagnostic mode 1: Check measured values

Work procedure

Read readiness code. Refer to Readiness code, reading
Let engine run at idle.
Under address word 33, select "Diagnostic mode 6: Check test results of components that are not continuously monitored".
Select "Test-ID 01: Catalytic converter monitoring".

Check specified values at idle.

Replace the front exhaust pipe with catalytic converter:

Replace double catalytic converter. Refer to Exhaust manifold, front exhaust pipe with double catalytic converter and attachments (vehicles with engine code BJS) , item 11

Continuation for all vehicles

Erase DTC memory of Engine Control Module (ECM). Refer to Diagnostic mode 4: Reset/erase diagnostic data
