Fuel Pump Relay Function

1. Using test light, check voltage supply to fuel pump fuse. See ENGINE PERFORMANCE in SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS article in ELECTRICAL. For fuel pump relay locations, see FUSE/RELAY LOCATIONS  under COMPONENT LOCATIONS.
2. Briefly operate starter motor. Fuel pump relay must audibly click and test light should illuminate. If test light does not illuminate or fuel pump relay does not operate, repair fuel pump relay power supply wiring as necessary. Repair wiring from fuel pump relay to fuel pump fuse as necessary.
3. If fuel pump relay wiring and fuel pump fuse wiring are okay, replace fuel pump relay.

On EuroVan, fuse panel is located behind driver's side storage compartment, below steering column. Turn locking knob counterclockwise to release storage compartment from dash.
