Water deflector, installing: Notes
- Mask off A-pillar and windshield with reinforced adhesive tape.
- Remove bonding agent residue mechanically (e.g. with wood chisel).
NOTE:
Bonding agent residue must be removed, if installation position of water deflector is raised wind noise can develop.
- Paint damage should been touched up with paint primer D 009 200 02.
- Clean water deflector with cleaning agent D 009 401 94, and then prime with D 009 200 02.
- For both cleaning and priming, drying time of 10 minutes must be maintained.
- Apply 1K window adhesive DH 009 100, approx. 1 - 2 mm (0.393 in.) in diameter to primed surface.
- Position water deflector, press on firmly and hold in place with reinforced adhesive tape.
