Removal & Installation (Fox)

  1. Distributor removal procedure is not available from manufacturer. To install distributor, ensure cylinder No. 1 is at TDC of compression stroke. Mark on vibration damper must align with arrow of drive belt guard.
  2. Ensure mark on camshaft sprocket aligns with forward edge of valve cover. Ensure slot on oil pump shaft is parallel to crankshaft. Align rotor with cylinder No. 1 mark on edge of distributor housing. Install distributor. Check ignition timing.
