Compensating For Longitudinal Inclination

CAUTION: Longitudinal inclination MUST be checked BEFORE checking and adjusting caster since it will affect the final caster angle. See LONGITUDINAL INCLINATION  .

If the vehicle is inclined to the front or rear, add to or subtract from the caster value measured according to the direction the vehicle.

For example:

  1. Caster Angle Measured

    1° 10'
  2. Correction Value For Vehicle Inclination

Example for vehicle inclined to the front: +1°
  3. Caster

    2° 10'

NOTE: Vehicle inclined to the front: add correction value. Vehicle inclined to the rear: subtract correction value.
