Battery Removal And Installation/Replacement

Removal Procedure:

Remove front trunk. Refer to FRONT TRUNK REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT

Loosen nut (1) do not remove it.
Torque: 6 Nm
Pull off the battery negative cable from the battery negative terminal by carefully moving it to and fro. Do not pry using a tool.
Move the battery negative cable to one side and secure.

Unlock and disconnect electrical connector (1) from the battery sensor.
Remove bolt (2).
Torque: 8 Nm
Remove nut (3).
Torque: 8 Nm

Open the cover (1) and loosen the nut (2) of the Battery positive cable.
Torque: 6 Nm

Loosen the pre-fuse box (2) at the markings.
Remove the pre-fuse box (1) from the 12V Battery upwards.

Remove the bracket (1).

Remove 12V battery (1) upwards.

Installation Procedure:

Installation is the reverse of removal procedure, noting the following
All fasteners must be tightened to torque specification.
Install front trunk. Refer to FRONT TRUNK REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
