Electric Park Brake Switch Removal And Installation/Replacement

Overview: 

Electric Park Brake Switch (1). 

Removal Procedure: 

1. Disconnect the 12V battery negative terminal. Refer to 12V BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION
2. Remove Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Removal and Installation/Replacement. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL KNEE BOLSTER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
3. Carefully bend the retaining clips (1) in the direction of the arrows to unclip the switch.
4. Pull the switch (1) in the direction of the arrow to remove it.

Installation Procedure: 

1. Installation is the reverse of removal procedure, noting the following.
2. Install Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Removal and Installation/Replacement. Refer to Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Removal and Installation  /REPLACEMENT
3. Reconnect the 12V battery negative terminal. Refer to 12V Battery Negative Cable Disconnection  /CONNECTION
4. Diagnostics, Programming and Setup. Refer to DIAGNOSTICS, PROGRAMMING AND SETUP USING IDS IN SERVICE
