Activating VinPilot
- Press the VinPilot button (1) on the steering wheel. The color of the VinPilot symbol in the HMI changes from gray to blue (2).
- Press button (3) "GAP -" to decrease the distance to the vehicle in front by one bar.
- Press button (3) "GAP +" to increase the distance to the vehicle in front by one bar.
- Press button (4) "SPD -" to decrease the target speed.
- Press button (4) "SPD +" to increase the target speed.
- Press button (5) "RES/CAN" or press the brake pedal to cancel/resume the VinPilot function.
- Press button (6) to activate Advanced Cruise Control (ACC) only
- Press button (7) to activate Intelligent Speed Adaption (ISA)
If, for example, there are no lane markings, VinPilot reduces the functionality to adaptive cruise control (ACC). The VinPilot symbol changes from blue to yellow (1) and a corresponding message appears in the HMI (2).
If the vehicle comes to a standstill, a prompt (1) to press the "RES" button on the steering wheel or the accelerator/gas pedal to reactivate VinPilot or Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) appears after 3 seconds.
After the following situations, the system is automatically set to standby mode:
- If, 5 minutes after the prompt shown above, there is no further action by the driver
- If the driver's door is opened
- If the driver's seat belt is not in the buckle
- If the system detects a system error
