Emergency Unlock
Integrated key:
- The smart key has an integrated mechanical key blade.
- Should the smart key cease to function, the mechanical key blade is available to access and lock the vehicle.
To open the car from the outside without the "keyless" function or smart key:
The integrated mechanical key must be removed from the smart key. To remove the integrated key blade, release the lock on the rear side of the smart key by pushing it slightly and sliding the lock button to the left. After releasing, the mechanical key blade can be pulled out of the smart key and used to manually open the lock cylinder on the driver's door.
The emergency lock is under the handle of the left-hand rear door. Push and pull the handle as for the opening procedure.

All VF9 models are equipped with Thief Intrusion Alert. The alarm system is activated once the vehicle has been locked either with key fob or the button on the door handle. A GPS vehicle position monitoring can be activated via the Quick Controls menu on the MDU.
The following scenarios activate the alarm system:
- Any door is opened without using the key fob whilst the vehicle is locked
- Tailgate is opened without using the key fob whilst the vehicle is locked
- Hood is opened whilst the vehicle is locked
If alarm is activated:
- Lights and/or alarm siren will sound (depending on settings)
- Image will be shown on the MDU
- If the vehicle is paired with C-App, it will display a message
