- Only authorized and appropriately trained persons may carry out work on high-voltage vehicles and components.
- Perform High Voltage isolation procedure prior to commencing work
- Ensure appropriate Personal Protective Equipment is worn until the system is verified safe

- All lifting equipment weight rating must meet or exceed the weight of the vehicle and any contents
- The lifting equipment must be in good condition and approved for use
- Only lift the vehicle from the identified lift points
- Ensure vehicle is stable before performing any work underneath
- Ensure there are no loose components which may fall
- Always use personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Seek assistance when handling larger components
Repair:
Repair note: HV and SRS cables must not be repaired. These must always be replaced!
In case of severe damage, replace the wiring harness.
- Disconnect the 12V battery negative terminal. Refer to 12V BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION
- Strip the insulation from the ends of the repair cable and the vehicle's own cable by at least 7 mm.
- Insert stripped ends into crimp connectors and crimp using crimping tool.
- Seal the crimp connector (1) using a hot-air gun.
Repair note: Make sure that the crimp connectors are not directly next to each other when several cables are to be repaired. To prevent the circumference of the cable from becoming too large, arrange the crimp connectors slightly offset.
If the repair area was previously wrapped, this area must be re-wrapped with yellow insulating tape after the repair.
If necessary, secure the repaired wiring harness with a cable tie to prevent rattling noises during driving.
