Liftgate Emblems/Nameplates Removal And Installation/Replacement

Emblem Removal Procedure:

  1. Heat the Emblem (1) with a hot air gun to soften the adhesive.
  2. Pry the Emblem (1) off the vehicle body using a plastic flat bladed tool. Care should be taken not to damage the paint on the vehicle body.
  3. Clean the surface of the vehicle body to remove any adhesive residue from the paint surface using General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner, or isopropyl alcohol, and a soft, clean cloth.

Emblem Installation Procedure:

  1. Ensure the paint surface is clean and dry before installation of a new Emblem
  2. Remove the protective film from the adhesive layer. Care should be taken not to touch the surface of the adhesive.
  3. Align the positioning pins (2) of the Emblem (1) to the holes in the vehicle body. Firmly press by hand continuously for 10-15 seconds to ensure that the Emblem adhesive and the vehicle body panel are firmly bonded.

Nameplate Removal Procedure:

  1. Heat the Nameplate VF8 (1) using a heat gun to soften the adhesive.
  2. Pry the Nameplate VF8 (1) off the vehicle body using a plastic flat bladed tool. Care should be taken not to damage the paint on the vehicle body.
  3. Clean the surface of the vehicle body to remove any adhesive residue from the paint surface using General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner, or isopropyl alcohol, and a soft, clean cloth.

Nameplate Installation Procedure:

  1. Ensure the painted panel surface is clean and dry before installation of a new Nameplate VF8.
  2. Remove the protective film from the adhesive layer. Care should be taken not to touch the surface of the adhesive.
  3. Align the foam carrier (1) to the edges of the tailgate panel (2) to correctly position the Nameplate VF8.
  4. Firmly press the Nameplate VF8 by hand continuously for 10-15 seconds to ensure good bonding to the tailgate panel.

  1. Mark the position of each VINFAST letters (1) on the vehicle body using a non-permanent marking pen.
  2. Heat the VINFAST letters (1) with a hot air gun to soften the adhesive.
  3. Pry the VINFAST letters (1) off the vehicle body using a plastic flat-bladed tool. Care should be taken not to damage the paint on the vehicle body.
  4. Clean the surface of the vehicle body to remove any adhesive residue from the paint surface using General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner, or isopropyl alcohol, and a soft, clean cloth.

VINFAST Letters Installation Procedure: 

  1. Ensure the paint surface is clean and dry before installation of new VINFAST letters (1).
  2. Remove the protective film from the adhesive layer from each VINFAST letters (1). Care should be taken not to touch the surface of the adhesive.
  3. Align each VINFAST letters (1) to the corresponding position previously marked on the vehicle body.
  4. Firmly press each VINFAST letters (1) by hand continuously for 10-15 seconds to ensure good bonding to the tailgate panel.
