Multimedia Head Unit Removal And Installation/Replacement

Mobile Repair Possible:  No

Removal Procedure: 

1. Disconnect the Battery negative terminal. Refer to 12V BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION
2. Remove Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL LOWER TRIM PANEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT

3. Remove 2 Screws (1).

   Torque: 1.6 Nm

4. Pull off the air outlet (1) from the heating/air conditioning unit (2) in the direction of the arrow and remove it.

   Installation instructions: Check seals for damage, replace if necessary.

5. Unlock and disconnect all plug connectors (1).

6. Remove 2 bolts (1).

   Torque: 5 Nm 

7. Remove 2 bolts (2).

   Torque: 8 Nm

8. Remove Multimedia Head Unit (1).

   Installation note: Hook in guides (2). 

Installation Procedure: 

1. Installation is the reverse of removal procedure, noting the following.

   All fasteners must be tightened to torque specification! 

2. Install Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL LOWER TRIM PANEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
3. Reconnect the Battery negative terminal. Refer to 12V BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION
4. Diagnostics, Programming and Setup. Refer to DIAGNOSTICS, PROGRAMMING AND SETUP USING SCAN TOOL IN SERVICE
5. Re-connect eSIM for new MHU. Send new ICCID, EID, VIN with picture to Connected-Car Service Manager - Nguyen Thj Nhu Ly v.lyntn3@vinfast.vn.
