In-vehicle Connection

At this page you can choose to connect to a vehicle using the VCI tool 'In-Vehicle' or you can choose to use IDS not connected to a vehicle by selecting 'stand-alone'. Stand-alone allows the user to navigate through IDS for training purposes without requiring a vehicle connection.

Check your VCI module is connected using either the USB or WIFI mode. See USING VCI HARDWARE .

Once your hardware is connected, check the VCI Status: Connected  is shown:

then click "In-Vehicle" to connect.

During this time the IDS tool will be reading the latest information from the vehicle.

Please be patient as this step can take 2 - 3 minutes. The following screen is displayed:
