Removal [12/2024 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY (for 2WD with Cover) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  2. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL LH (for 4WD/AWD) 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2024 - ]

  3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON TRIM PACKING D (for 4WD/AWD) 
  4. REMOVE CRANK POSITION SENSOR

      1. Disconnect the crank position sensor connector.
      2. Using an 8 mm socket wrench, remove the bolt and crank position sensor from the cylinder block sub-assembly.
        NOTE:

        If the crank position sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.

      3. Perform this procedure only when reusing the crank position sensor.
        1. Remove the O-ring from the crank position sensor.
        NOTE:
        • Make sure to only remove the O-ring with bare hands.
        • When removing the O-ring, be careful not to damage the O-ring groove of the crank position sensor.
        • If the O-ring groove of the crank position sensor is damaged, replace the crank position sensor with a new one.
