Inspection [11/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT POWER SWITCH 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Power Switch)

      Standard Resistance

      Click Location & Routing(F50)

      Click Connector(F50)

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F50-5 (SS1) - F50-6 (AGND) Not pushed 10 kΩ or higher
      F50-1 (SS2) - F50-6 (AGND) Not pushed 10 kΩ or higher
      F50-5 (SS1) - F50-6 (AGND) Pushed Below 1 Ω
      F50-1 (SS2) - F50-6 (AGND) Pushed Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the power switch.

    2. Apply auxiliary battery voltage between the terminals of the power switch, and check the illumination condition of the power switch indicator light.

      OK

      Click Location & Routing(F50)

      Click Connector(F50)

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      F50-9 (SWIL) - Auxiliary battery positive (+)
      F50-6 (AGND) - Auxiliary battery negative (-)
      Illuminates

      HINT: 

      • If the positive (+) lead and the negative (-) lead are incorrectly connected, the power switch indicator light will not illuminate.
      • If the voltage is too low, the power switch indicator light will not illuminate.

      If the result is not as specified, replace the power switch.
