Inspection [09/2022 - ]: Procedure
- INSPECT VSC OFF SWITCH (COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY) (for Shift Panel)
- for Type A:
- Make sure that there is no looseness in the locking part and the connecting part of the connector.
*a Component without harness connected
(VSC OFF Switch (Combination Switch Assembly))OK
The connector is securely connected.
- Disconnect the VSC OFF switch (combination switch assembly) connector.
- Check both the connector case and the terminals for deformation and corrosion.
OK
No deformation or corrosion.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 8 (+) - 5 (E) Switch pushed Below 50 Ω 8 (+) - 5 (E) Switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher HINT:
If the result is not as specified, replace the VSC OFF switch (combination switch assembly).
- Make sure that there is no looseness in the locking part and the connecting part of the connector.
- except Type A:
- Make sure that there is no looseness in the locking part and the connecting part of the connector.
OK
The connector is securely connected.
*a Component without harness connected
(VSC OFF Switch (Combination Switch Assembly)) - Disconnect the VSC OFF switch (combination switch assembly) connector.
- Check both the connector case and the terminals for deformation and corrosion.
OK
No deformation or corrosion.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

If the result is not as specified, replace the VSC OFF switch (combination switch assembly).
- Make sure that there is no looseness in the locking part and the connecting part of the connector.
- for Type A:
- INSPECT VSC OFF SWITCH (for Instrument Panel)
- Make sure that there is no looseness in the locking part and the connecting part of the connector.
OK
The connector is securely connected.
*a Component without harness connected
(VSC OFF Switch) - Disconnect the VSC OFF switch connector.
- Check both the connector case and the terminals for deformation and corrosion.
OK
No deformation or corrosion.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 5 (+) - 2 (E) Switch pushed Below 1 Ω 5 (+) - 2 (E) Switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher HINT:
If the result is not as specified, replace the VSC OFF switch.
- Make sure that there is no looseness in the locking part and the connecting part of the connector.
