Pre-Collision System Operates By Mistake [08/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. VERIFY DTC TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED 
    1. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2019 - ]

      Body Electrical > SCBS > Trouble Codes 

    2. Is the same DTC present?

      Result

      Proceed to
      Yes
      No

    Result: 

    Yes 

    GO TO APPLICABLE DTC INSPECTION. Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [08/2019 - ] 

    Result: 

    No

  2. VERIFY WINDSHIELD CONDITION 
    1. Visually inspect the exterior side of the windshield for fogging, water droplets, and frost.
    2. Is there fogging, water droplets, or frost on the exterior side of the windshield?

      Result

      Proceed to
      Yes
      No

    Result: 

    Yes

    Result: 

    No

  3. VERIFY IF MALFUNCTION CAUSE WAS CORRECTED 
    1. Has the malfunction symptom been eliminated?

      Result

      Proceed to
      Yes
      No

    Result: 

    Yes 

    TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED. (EXPLAIN THE CONTENTS OF THE SERVICING TO THE CUSTOMER.) 

    Result: 

    No 

    EXPLAIN TO THE CUSTOMER THAT THE PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM MAY NOT OPERATE NORMALLY DUE TO THE DETECTION PERFORMANCE LIMITED 

    1. For the detection performance limitations, refer to the pre-collision system for new vehicle instruction.
  4. REMOVE FOGGING, WATER DROPLETS, AND FROST 
    1. Then go to the next step
