Installation [06/2016 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD 
    1. Install the 2 new gaskets to the intake manifold.
    2. Install the intake manifold with the 6 bolts.

      Torque: 25 N*m (255 kgf*cm, 18 ft.*lbf) 

    3. Engage the 2 clamps.
    4. Engage the 4 connectors and connect the wire harness.
    5. Connect the fuel pump connector.
    6. Engage the clamp and connect the engine wire harness.
    7. Engage the 5 clamps and connect the battery cable.
    8. Connect the purge valve connector.
    9. Connect the manifold absolute pressure sensor connector.
  2. CONNECT VENTILATION HOSE 
    1. Connect the ventilation hose.
  3. INSTALL COMPRESSOR WITH MAGNETIC CLUTCH (for Automatic Transmission) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  4. INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT (for Manual Transmission) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  5. CONNECT VACUUM TUBE CONNECTOR HOSE (for Manual Transmission) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  6. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transmission) 
    1. Engage the 3 claws and install the No. 1 engine cover sub-assembly.
  7. CONNECT FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the No. 2 fuel vapor feed hose.
    2. Install the bolt and connect the fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly.

      Torque: 6.4 N*m (65 kgf*cm, 57 in.*lbf) 

  8. CONNECT NO. 1 FUEL HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  9. INSTALL INJECTOR COVER (for Bank 2) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  10. INSTALL INJECTOR COVER (for Bank 1) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  11. INSTALL INJECTOR DRIVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  12. CONNECT THROTTLE WITH MOTOR BODY ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install a new gasket to the intake manifold.
    2. Install the 4 bolts and throttle with motor body assembly to intake manifold.

      Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf) 

  13. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 33 [06/2016 - 03/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 34 [03/2017 - ]

  14. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Torque: 6.0 N*m (61 kgf*cm, 53 in.*lbf) 

  15. INSPECT FUEL PUMP OPERATION AND INSPECT FOR FUEL LEAK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  16. INSPECT THROTTLE WITH MOTOR BODY ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
