Installation [09/2016 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL REAR AXLE HUB AND BEARING ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

      HINT: 

      • The rear speed sensor is a component of the rear axle hub and bearing assembly. If the rear speed sensor is malfunctioning, replace the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.
      • If the rear speed sensor rotor needs to be replaced, replace the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.
  2. INSPECT REAR AXLE HUB BEARING LOOSENESS 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [09/2016 - 07/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [07/2020 - ]

  3. INSPECT REAR AXLE HUB RUNOUT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [09/2016 - 07/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [07/2020 - ]

  4. INSTALL REAR DISC 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [09/2016 - 01/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [01/2018 - ]

  5. INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [09/2016 - 07/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [07/2020 - ]

  6. CONNECT NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [09/2016 - 01/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [01/2018 - ]

  7. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE LEVER PROTECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [09/2016 - 01/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [01/2018 - ]

  8. CONNECT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE 
    1. Connect the skid control sensor wire connector to the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.
  9. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE 

    Refer to ADJUSTMENT [09/2016 - 01/2018] , or refer to ADJUSTMENT [01/2018 - ]

  10. INSTALL REAR WHEEL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [09/2016 - 07/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [07/2020 - ]

  11. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 
    1. Connect the reservoir level switch connector.
    2. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [09/2016 - 05/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [05/2019 - ]

    3. Turn the power switch on (READY).
    4. Depress the brake pedal and release it.
    5. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2016 - ]

  12. CHECK FOR SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL 

    Refer to TEST MODE PROCEDURE [09/2016 - 07/2020] , or refer to TEST MODE PROCEDURE [07/2020 - ]
