Fuel Tank: Removal: Procedure
- FUEL TANK REMOVAL NOTE
- Remove the following parts as single unit:
- Breather hose No. 3
- Joint pipe
- Fuel pump unit
- Fuel tank
- Remove the fuel tank.
- Remove the following parts as single unit:
- REMOVE FUEL TANK
- Level the vehicle.
- Complete the "BEFORE SERVICE PRECAUTION".
Refer to PRECAUTION
- Drain the fuel.
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
- Remove the rear seat cushion.
Refer to REMOVAL
- Remove the service hole cover.
*a Service Hole Cover - Disconnect the following parts:
- Fuel pump unit connector
- Fuel tube connector (quick type)
Refer to REMOVAL
- Remove the fuel tank side cover.
Refer to REMOVAL
- Remove the parking brake cable bracket (RH) nuts shown in the figure and set the parking brake cable bracket aside in a location that does not interfere with the servicing.
*a Parking Brake Cable Bracket *b Nut - Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor connector.
- Remove the TWC and heated oxygen sensor as a single unit.

- Remove the joint hose.
*1 Joint Hose *2 Breather Hose No. 1 *3 Breather Hose No. 2 *4 Fuel Tube Connector (Quick Type) *5 Fuel Tank Insulator *6 Fuel Tank Strap *7 Fuel Tank *8 Breather Hose No. 3 *9 Joint Pipe *10 Fuel Pump Unit *a Charcoal Canister *b Fuel-Filler Pipe N*m (kgf*cm, ft.*lbf) : Specified torque - - - Remove the breather hose No. 1.

- Remove the breather hose No. 2.
- Remove the fuel tube connector (quick type).
Refer to REMOVAL
- Remove the fuel tank insulator.
- Remove the fuel tank strap.
- Remove the fuel tank.

- Remove the breather hose No. 3.
- Remove the joint pipe.
- Remove the fuel pump unit.
