Fuel Injector: Removal: Procedure

  1. FUEL DISTRIBUTOR REMOVAL NOTE 
    1. Remove the high pressure fuel pipe.

      Refer to REMOVAL 

    2. Remove the fuel distributor.
  2. STOPPER RING REMOVAL NOTE 

    HINT: 

    When removing the stopper ring, do not damage the fuel injector with the tool.

    1. Remove the stopper ring as shown in the figure.

  3. TEFLON SEAL REMOVAL NOTE 

    HINT: 

    When stretching the teflon seal, do not damage the fuel injector with the tool.

    1. Stretch the teflon seal as shown in the figure.

    2. Remove the teflon seal as shown in the figure.

  4. REMOVE FUEL INJECTOR 
    1. Complete the "BEFORE SERVICE PRECAUTION".

      Refer to PRECAUTION

    2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

      Refer to REMOVAL

    3. Remove the plug hole plate.

      Refer to REMOVAL

    4. Remove the intake manifold.

      Refer to REMOVAL

    5. Remove the Fuel pressure sensor connector.

      *1 Fuel Pressure Sensor Connector *2 Fuel Injector Connector
      *3 Fuel Distributor *4 Fuel Injector
      *5 Spacer *6 Stopper Ring
      *7 O-ring *8 Back-up Ring
      *9 Teflon Seal - -
      *a Vehicle Front - -
      N*m (kgf*cm, ft.*lbf): Specified torque Non-reusable part
      Oil - -
    6. Remove the fuel injector connector.
    7. Remove the fuel distributor.

      See step  1

    8. Remove the fuel injector.
    9. Remove the spacer.
    10. Remove the stopper ring.

      See step  2

    11. Remove the O-ring.
    12. Remove the back-up ring.
    13. Remove the teflon seal.

      See step  3
