General Maintenance [06/2016 - ]: Procedure
- INSPECT DRIVE BELT
- Inspect the drive belt (Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [06/2016 - ]
).
- INSPECT ENGINE OIL
- Inspect the engine oil (Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [06/2016 - ]
).
- REPLACE ENGINE OIL AND OIL FILTER
- Replace the engine oil and oil filter (Refer to REPLACEMENT [06/2016 - ]
).
- INSPECT ENGINE COOLANT
- Inspect the engine coolant (Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [06/2016 - ]
).
- REPLACE ENGINE COOLANT
- Replace the engine coolant (Refer to REPLACEMENT [06/2016 - ]
).
- REPLACE SPARK PLUGS
- Replace the spark plugs (Refer to REMOVAL [06/2016 - ]
).
- REPLACE FUEL FILTER
- Replace the fuel filter (Refer to DISASSEMBLY [06/2016 - ]
).
- INSPECT BATTERY
- Check the battery (Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
).
- INSPECT AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT
- Remove the air cleaner filter element.
- Check that the air cleaner filter element is not excessively dirty. If the air cleaner filter element is excessively dirty, replace the air cleaner filter element.
- Clean the air cleaner filter element with compressed air.
- Reinstall the air cleaner filter element.
- INSPECT EXHAUST PIPES AND MOUNTINGS
- Visually check the pipes, hangers and connections for severe corrosion, leaks or damage.
- INSPECT FUEL TANK CAP ASSEMBLY
- Inspect the fuel tank cap gasket (Refer to INSPECTION [06/2016 - ]
).
- INSPECT FUEL LINES, CONNECTIONS, FUEL TANK VAPOR VENT SYSTEM HOSES AND FUEL TANK BANDS
- Visually check the fuel lines and hoses for cracks, leakage, loose connections, or deformation.
- Check for tank band looseness or deformation.
