Installation [08/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL SPIRAL CABLE WITH STEERING ANGLE SENSOR 
    1. Install the spiral cable with steering angle sensor (Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 ).
      NOTE:
      • Do not replace the spiral cable with the battery connected and the ignition switch ON.
      • Do not rotate the spiral cable with the battery connected and the ignition switch ON.
      • Make sure that the steering wheel is installed and aligned straight when inspecting the steering angle sensor.
      • Do not remove the steering angle sensor from the spiral cable.
  2. INSTALL UPPER STEERING COLUMN COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [08/2015 - 08/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [08/2022 - ]

  3. INSTALL LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [08/2015 - 08/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [08/2022 - ]

  4. ADJUST SPIRAL CABLE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  5. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the steering wheel assembly (Refer to INSTALLATION [08/2015 - 08/2022] , or refer to INSTALLATION [08/2022 - ] ).
  6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2015 - 08/2019] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2019 - 08/2022] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2022 - ] ).

  7. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT 
    1. Check the SRS warning light (Refer to SYSTEM DESCRIPTION [08/2015 - ] ).
