Steering Wheel: Installation: Installation

NOTE:

Do not replace the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly with the negative (-) auxiliary battery cable connected and the ignition switch on (IG).
Do not rotate the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly without the steering wheel with the negative (-) auxiliary battery cable connected and the ignition switch on (IG).
Ensure that the steering wheel is installed and aligned straight when inspecting the steering sensor.
Do not remove the steering sensor from the spiral cable.

INSTALL LOWER STEERING WHEEL BOSS COVER
1. Engage the 2 pins and 4 claws to install the lower steering wheel boss cover to the steering wheel sub-assembly.

INSTALL CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH WIRE (w/ Cruise Control System)
INSTALL CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH (w/ Cruise Control System) . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
INSTALL STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY See step 2
ALIGN FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD
ADJUST SPIRAL CABLE WITH SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 5
INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY
1. Align the matchmarks on the steering wheel assembly and steering main shaft to install the steering wheel assembly.

2. Install the steering wheel assembly set nut.
  Torque: 50 N*m (510 kgf*cm, 37 ft.*lbf)
3. Connect the connectors to the spiral cable sub-assembly.
