Exhaust Manifold: Removal: Removal

  1. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR 

    Refer to REMOVAL

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts and No. 1 exhaust manifold heat insulator.

  3. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor connector.
    2. Remove the 4 bolts and 4 compression springs.

    3. Remove the front exhaust pipe assembly from the 2 exhaust pipe supports.
    4. Remove the 2 gaskets.
  4. REMOVE MANIFOLD STAY 
    1. Remove the 2 nuts and 2 drive shaft heat insulator sub-assemblies.

    2. Remove the 3 bolts and manifold stay.

  5. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD 
    1. Remove the 5 nuts and exhaust manifold.

    2. Remove the exhaust manifold gasket.
  6. REMOVE NO. 2 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR 
    1. Remove the 3 bolts and No. 2 exhaust manifold heat insulator.
