Engine Control System (Service Information) (Hybrid): ECM: Installation: Installation

  1. INSTALL ECM 
    1. Set the ECM in the engine room ECM box.
    2. Install the engine room ECM cover with the 3 claws.
    3. Install the No. 1 ECM bracket and No. 2 ECM bracket with the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 4.5 N*m (46 kgf*cm, 40 in.*lbf) 

    4. Install the wire harness bracket with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 8.5 N*m (87 kgf*cm, 75 in.*lbf) 

    5. Install the ECM with bracket with the 3 bolts.

      for bolt A 

      Torque: 12 N*m (122 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf) 

      for bolt B 

      Torque: 19 N*m (194 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf)

    6. Attach the clamp and connect the cooler pipe.
    7. Connect the 3 wire harness clamps.
    8. Connect the 2 ECM connectors and wire harness clamp.

      NOTE:
      • When connecting the connectors, make sure that dirt, water or other foreign matter does not become stuck between the connectors and other parts.
      • Make sure that the 2 levers are securely locked.
  2. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to INITIALIZATION .

  3. INSTALL BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 119
  4. INSTALL DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 120
  5. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 

    HINT: 

    Initialization cannot be completed by only disconnecting and reconnecting the cable of the negative (-) battery terminal.

    1. Perform initialization when replacing the ECM See step  13.
