Ignition Switch: Inspection: Inspection

  1. INSPECT IGNITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY

    1. Check the resistance.
      1. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals.

        Standard resistance

        Switch Condition Tester Connection Specified Condition
        LOCK - 10 kΩ or higher
        ACC 1 (AM1) - 3 (ACC) Below 1 Ω
        ON 1(AM1) - 3 (ACC) - 4 (IG1)
        7 (IG2) - 8 (AM2)        		 Below 1 Ω
        START 1 (AM1) - 2 (ST1) - 4 (IG1)
        6 (ST2) - 7 (IG2) - 8 (AM2)        		 Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the ignition switch.
