On-Vehicle Inspection

  1. CHECK STOP LIGHT CONTROL RELAY (BRK NO. 1, BRK NO. 2) 
    1. Remove the 2 stop light control relays from the engine room relay block.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance 

      RESISTANCE REFERENCE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3 - 4 When battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher
      When battery voltage is not applied to terminals land 2 Below 1 Ω
      3 - 5 When battery voltage is not applied to terminals 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher
      When battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the relay.

    3. Install the 2 stop light control relays.
