On-Vehicle Inspection

  1. INSPECT ACCELERATOR PEDAL ASSEMBLY 
    1. Inspect the voltage.
      1. Warm up the engine.
      2. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
      3. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
      4. Turn the ignition switch ON (IG).
      5. Turn the tester ON.
      6. Enter the following menus:

        Select: Powertrain/Engine and ECT/Data List/Accelerator Position No. 1, Accelerator Position No. 2.

      7. Operate the accelerator pedal, then check that the Accelerator Position No. 1 and Accelerator Position No. 2 values are within the specified ranges.

        Accelerator Position No. 1 

        ACCELERATOR PEDAL CONDITION CHART

        Accelerator Pedal Condition Specified Condition
        Released 0.5 to 1.1 V
        Depressed 2.6 to 4.5 V

        Accelerator Position No. 2 

        ACCELERATOR PEDAL CONDITION CHART

        Accelerator Pedal Condition Specified Condition
        Released 1.2 to 2.0 V
        Depressed 3.4 to 5.0 V

        If the result is not as specified, check the accelerator pedal, wire harness and ECM.
