Inspection Procedure
NOTE:
When replacing the brake actuator assembly, perform zero point calibration (See CALIBRATION
).
- CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
- Check if the CAN communication system DTC is output (See
DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM
).

- CHECK MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
- Check if the multiplex communication system DTC is output (See
DTC CHECK / CLEAR
).

B: INSPECT MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A: Go to Next Step
- Check if the multiplex communication system DTC is output (See
DTC CHECK / CLEAR
).
- CHECK VSC WARNING LIGHT
- Connect Techstream to the DLC3.
- Start the engine.
- Select the Active Test mode on Techstream (See DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST
).
ABS / VSC / TRAC:
ACTIVE TESTTester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note VSC Warning Lamp VSC warning light Warning light ON / OFF Observe combination meter - Check that "ON" and "OFF" of the VSC warning light are indicated on the combination meter when using Techstream.
OK: The VSC warning light turns on or off in accordance with Techstream.
HINT:
If troubleshooting has been carried out according to the PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE , refer back to the table and proceed to the next step before replacing the part.
NG: Go to step 4
OK: REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
- INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Check the combination meter (See
HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING
).
OK: The combination meter is normal.

If troubleshooting has been carried out according to the PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE , refer back to the table and proceed to the next step.
NG: REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
