Inspection Procedure
NOTE:
When replacing the brake actuator assembly, perform zero point calibration (See
CALIBRATION ).
- CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
- Check if a CAN communication system DTC is output (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING ).
Result
RESULT CHARTResult Proceed to DTC is not output. A DTC is output. B B : REPAIR CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART )
A : Go to Next Step
- INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR
- Check if the skid control ECU connector is properly installed.
OK: The skid control ECU connector is properly installed.
NG : CONNECT CONNECTOR TO ECU SECURELY
OK : Go to Next Step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHARTTester Connection Condition Specified Condition A19-1 (GND1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω A19-13 (GND2) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω - Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK : Go to Next Step
- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (ABS WARNING LIGHT)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Start the engine.
- Select the Active Test mode on the Techstream (See DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST ).
ABS/VSC/TRAC:
ABS/VSC/TRAC REFERENCE CHARTTester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note ABS Warning Light ABS warning light Warning light ON/OFF Observe the combination meter. OK: The ABS warning light is turned on or off.
HINT:
When the ABS warning light remains illuminated, an open in the wire harness of the combination meter or abnormalities in the meter circuit should be considered.
NG : CHECK METER/GAUGE SYSTEM (HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING) (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING )
OK : REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
