Abs And Traction Actuator: Installation
- INSTALL BRAKE ACTUATOR WITH BRACKET NOTE: When installing a new brake actuator, do not remove the hole plug before connecting the brake tube. New actuators are filled with brake fluid.
- Install the actuator with bracket with the 3 nuts.
Torque: 19 N*m (194 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf)
NOTE:- Tighten the 3 nuts uniformly in alphabetical order.
- Be careful not to damage the brake tubes.
- Do not drop the actuator. If dropped, replace it.
- Connect the brake tube clamp to the bracket.
- Install the actuator with bracket with the 3 nuts.
- CONNECT BRAKE LINES
- Set each brake line in the correct position on the brake actuator as shown in the illustration.
- Using a union nut wrench (10 mm), connect the 6 brake lines to the correct locations on the actuator, as shown in the illustration.
Torque: without union nut wrench
15 N*m (155 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf)
with union nut wrench
14 N*m (145 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf)
HINT:
- Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 300 mm (11.8 in.).
- This torque value is effective when the union nut wrench is parallel to the torque wrench.
- CONNECT CONNECTOR
- Connect the connector and push the lock lever downward.
- FILL RESERVOIR WITH BRAKE FLUID (See BRAKE FLUID )
- BLEED AIR FROM BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER (See BRAKE PEDAL )
- BLEED AIR FROM BRAKE LINE (See BRAKE PEDAL )
- BLEED AIR FROM ABS AND TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (See BRAKE PEDAL )
- CHECK BRAKE FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR (See BRAKE FLUID )
- INSPECT FOR BRAKE FLUID LEAK
- INSTALL AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 2AR-FE)
- Install the air cleaner case (See INSTALLATION ).
- INSTALL AIR CLEANER CASE (for 2GR-FE)
- Install the air cleaner case (See DISASSEMBLY ).
- CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
- CHECK ABS AND TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY WITH TECHSTREAM
- Check the ABS and traction actuator with the Techstream (See ABS AND TRACTION ACTUATOR ).
