Inspection Procedure
NOTE:
When using Techstream to troubleshoot the LIN communication line: Connect Techstream to the vehicle, and turn a courtesy light switch on and off at 1.5 second intervals until communication between the tester and vehicle begins.
- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (POWER WINDOW UP/DOWN)
- Perform the Active Test, using Techstream to generate a control command, and then check the power window operation.
D-Door Motor
ACTIVE TEST CHARTTester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note P/W Up / Down Power window UP/OFF - P/W Up / Down Power window DOWN / OFF - OK:
Driver side power window operates normally.
CAUTION: Be careful to avoid injuries as this test causes vehicle parts to move.
During the Active Test, the jam protection function does not operate.NG: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side)
OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
- Perform the Active Test, using Techstream to generate a control command, and then check the power window operation.
- INITIALIZE POWER WINDOW CONTROL SYSTEM
- Initialize the power window regulator motor assembly (on the driver side) (see INITIALIZATION ).
- Check that the power window operates normally by opening and closing the window.
OK:
Driver side power window operates normally.
NG: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side)
OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
- CHECK WHETHER PARTS HAVE BEEN INSTALLED CORRECTLY
- Check that the power window components (on the driver side) are installed correctly.
OK:
Power window components (on driver side) are installed correctly.
HINT:
When the power window components are installed correctly, the problem has been caused by battery disconnection while the ignition switch is ON, improper installation of the power window components or the motor being overheated.
NG: INSTALL PARTS CORRECTLY
OK: END
- Check that the power window components (on the driver side) are installed correctly.
