System Outline

If the driver does not have their seat belt fastened when power SW is turned to IG ON, then the indicator in combination meter will light up. The buzzer will also sound for 6 seconds to remind the driver to fasten their seat belt. After that, if the seat belt has not been fastened yet, the buzzer will sound again for 30 seconds when the vehicle speed reaches 15 km/h or more. The buzzer will also sound if the driver unfastens his seat belt when the vehicle speed is over 15 km/h.

Sensors installed in the front passenger seat detects whether a passenger(s) is(are) seated on the front passenger seat(s). If a passenger does not have their seat belt fastened when they are sitting in the front seat, then the passenger seat belt warning light will blink.
