Installation (To 12/2010): Installation

HINT: 

  1. INSTALL REAR AIRBAG SENSOR LH 
    1. Check that the ignition switch is off.
    2. Check that the battery negative (-) terminal is disconnected.
      WARNING:

      After disconnecting the negative battery terminal, wait for at least 90 seconds before starting the operation.

    3. Install the rear airbag sensor LH with the bolt.

      Torque: 9.0 N*m (92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf) 

      WARNING:
      • If the rear airbag sensor LH has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case or connector, replace it with a new one.
      • When installing the rear airbag sensor LH, be careful that the SRS wiring does not interfere with other parts and that it is not pinched between other parts.
    4. Check that there is no looseness in the installation parts of the rear airbag sensor LH.
    5. Connect the connector to the rear airbag sensor LH.
  2. INSTALL REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH 
  3. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 
  4. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 
  5. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 2
  6. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY 
  7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  8. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform initialization. Refer to INITIALIZATION .

      HINT: 

      Some systems need initialization when disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal.

  9. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT 
    1. Inspect the SRS warning light. Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM .
