Removal (To 12/2010): Removal

  1. PRECAUTION 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to read the "PRECAUTION" thoroughly before servicing. Refer to PRECAUTION .

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:

    Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent the airbag working.

  3. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 32
  4. REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY UPPER  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 35
  5. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 37
  6. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX FRONT  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 38
  7. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX DUCT NO. 1 
  8. REMOVE CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the holder (with connectors) from the center airbag sensor assembly.

    2. Remove the 3 bolts and the center airbag sensor assembly.
