Back Door Lock: Inspection

INSPECT BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY

Check the door lock motor.

Move the door lock to the lock position.
Apply battery voltage to the door lock motor and check the operation of the door lock motor.
OK

BATTERY VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION

Measurement Condition	Specified Condition
Battery positive (+) → 2 (ACT+) Battery negative (-) → 1 (ACT-)	Lock
Battery positive (+) → 1 (ACT-) Battery negative (-) → 2 (ACT+)	Unlock

If the result is not specified, replace the back door lock.

Check the door courtesy switch.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance

RESISTANCE SPECIFIED CONDITION

Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
3 (E) - 4 (D+)	Back door lock closed (Back door closed)	10 kΩ or higher
3 (E) - 4 (D+)	Back door lock open (Back door open)	Below 1 Ω

If the result is not specified, replace the back door lock.
