Cigarette Lighter: Removal

  1. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL CUSHION  (See REMOVAL )
  2. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL PAD SUBASSEMBLY LH  (See REMOVAL )
  3. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL CUSHION  (See REMOVAL )
  4. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL PAD SUBASSEMBLY RH  (See REMOVAL )
  5. REMOVE LOWER CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  6. REMOVE CIGARETTE LIGHTER COVER 
    1. Detach the 2 claws and remove the cover.

  7. REMOVE CIGARETTE LIGHTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the cigarette lighter knob and element assembly.
    2. Using a screwdriver, detach the claw, and remove the cigarette lighter socket and retainer assembly.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  8. REMOVE CIGARETTE LIGHTER BEZEL STAY 
    1. Detach the 2 claws and remove the bezel stay.
